Battery Flight-Time Calculator

Disclaimer

By using this calculator you agree that (We) are not liable for any inconsistencies and cannot be held liable for any damage or liability. This calculator is not an accurate calculation but only an average as a starting base for choosing the proper size battery for your model.

First things first, you need to find what your setup is drawing in Amps. To do this you will need some sort of Amp Draw Meter (HobbyKing) has many to choose from. Once you have this number you can proceed with calculating your average flight time. (Make sure your setup is not drawing more Amps than what your ESC or battery can handle.
  1. Enter your Drawing Amps into the (Amp draw) field
  2. Enter your battery mAh rating into the (Battery mAh) field, (you can play with this afterwards so you can choose the optimum battery for your setup)
  3. Choose a cutoff percentage where your ESC will cut off. If your ESC is set to cut off at 85%-90% then choose 75% or less as a safe calculation.
  4. As an added feature you can also enter a value in the (Avergage Throttle) field, this calculates how much of your flight will be using less than 100% throtle and will give you extra minutes in the air.

Battery mAh (e.g. 3300) mAh
Amp Draw (e.g. 22.5) Amps
Cut Off (e.g. 70%) (%)
Avergage Throttle % (e.g. 60) (%)
Avg Thrtl(%): (minutes are in fractions)
